Ingredients
3 cups bourbon
1 cup mint-infused simple syrup
1½ cups cold water
1 cup fresh mint leaves (for infusion)
Crushed ice
Extra mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
1. In a small pot, combine sugar and water to make simple syrup. Add mint leaves and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
2. Strain syrup into a pitcher and discard the mint leaves.
3. Add bourbon and cold water to the pitcher and stir.
4. Cover and chill in the fridge for 2–24 hours.
5. Serve over crushed ice in julep cups, garnish with mint.
Notes
This batch mint julep recipe serves 8–10. Make the day before your event for best flavor.
Use freezer-safe bottles for a frozen slushie version.
Swap in lime juice or crème de menthe for variation.
