Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
½ cup pumpkin purée
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Optional: powdered sugar or icing
Instructions
1. Mix pumpkin purée, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and vanilla.
2. Roll puff pastry into rectangle. Spread pumpkin mixture evenly.
3. Fold in half lengthwise. Cut into 1-inch strips.
4. Twist each strip and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Brush with egg wash. Bake at 375°F for 15–18 minutes until golden.
6. Cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle icing if desired.
Notes
Add cream cheese for richer filling.
Top with maple glaze for extra sweetness.
Freeze baked twists up to 2 months; reheat before serving.
